Cleaning

With a clean product, the adhesion during silicone potting and epoxy potting is excellent. The removal of free ions ensures that no charge can arise under the evaporated Parylene coating in humid conditions. Proper cleaning of the product is therefore crucial.

Removing contamination and free ions

It is important to clean high-voltage products properly to prevent overpressure. Contamination is one of the main causes of disruptive discharge. Disruptive discharge means a defect of the high-voltage unit. Cleaning ensures that dust particles are minimised and any residues during soldering, assembly of the product are eliminated.

By thoroughly cleaning the product, the contamination disappears, flux and ions are removed, and the product becomes dust-free. Because the contamination disappears after cleaning, extreme adhesion is created. This adhesion is also necessary to prevent disruptive discharge.

Cleaning process in cleanroom

As soon as a product is delivered, we ensure that it is cleaned dust-free. This cleaning process takes place under cleanroom conditions. The cleanroom ensures that the product is kept as clean as possible in the further development process.

Cleaning machines

Cleaning takes place according to a certain process. This process can be product specific, but also process specific. HVPC has two ionic contamination cleaning machines. These cleaning machines remove the ions and flux residues with a certain ratio of one or more liquids.

During the process, the cleaning equipment measures the contamination. This measurement indicates how clean the product is. Before the product undergoes other processing steps, the product is thoroughly dried. This is necessary to remove any liquid residues. The result of the cleaning is an extremely clean product.

HVPC has years of experience in cleaning products so that they are free of ions and contamination. You can contact us for just cleaning your products, but cleaning can also be a part of the overall production process.
